The police had their dogs attack people. People were being sprayed with fire hoses, some where holding hands so they wouldn't get swept away. Them there was a clip of people in an overcrowded jail cell.
How severe where people's injuries?

Starts of with people talking about how you have to keep the blacks and the whites separate. Martin Luther King talks about how if they can get a “break through” in Birmingham they will show the south that they can no longer resist integration and maybe more people with go along with it if they can get a break through.
Why were there kids at the riot and why did their parents let them go to the riots?

It starts with a white leader saying in order to "whip the bird" you have to keep it separate. Martin Luther King Jr. goes on to say that Birmingham is an important city to change so that they can show the rest of the nation that it's impossible. Scenes are shown of the riot where dogs attack protesters and police drag protesters to cop cars and fire hydrens are opened. There are scenes of kids sitting in jail.
What crimes did the police say the students committed to be allowed to put them in jail?
